Part #118266.This 7 bolt connector's gonna let us hookup to our trailer, and provide it with all the necessary signals. This includes our left turn signal, right turn signal, tail lamps and brake lamps, and you also have the option to hookup reverse lamps and a brake controller.7 bolt connector that's included with the kit has a spring loaded door, is covered, has a seal on the inside. It'll snap shut and keep out any moisture, debris and corrosion. This kit'll plug directly into your factory wiring and it comes with all the included relays and wiring you'll need to get it installed.We'll begin our installation under the vehicle, on the driver's side. Just above your leaf spring, at the rear, you'll find your tow harness factory connector. more

Here's what this wiring kit is going to look like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, we've got our seven-way round connector here at the back. It's a nice spring-loaded lid to help make sure that weather and the elements don't get inside there when it's not in use. This is going to do a great job of providing power to all your circuits on your trailer, like your lighting circuits and your brake circuit. This kit plugs directly into the factory plugs that are underneath the vehicle for the tow package. You will also have to install the relays that will go inside the passenger compartment at the passenger's kick panel. more

Here's what this wiring's going to look like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, it's right down here, tied to our safety chain connection point, so whenever we need it, we've got nice, easy access to it. Whenever we're not using it, we can use that dust cover to tie it to that safety chain loop. This wiring harness is nice and easy to install, not terribly difficult, as it's direct plug-and-play into the factory harness. Overall, this harness will do a really good job of making sure that you have power to your trailer when you need it, but also it's easily accessible and easy to use. Today on our 2006 Nissan Xterra, we're going to be taking a look at and installing the Tow Ready T-One vehicle wiring harness with 4-pull flat trailer connector, part number: 118525. Here's what this wiring is going to look like once it's installed on the vehicle. As you can see, we've got nice, easy access to it here. If we need to use it, we can just take that dust cover off of there and unhook it from the safety chain connection point, and we've got easy access for our trailer. Whenever we're done using it, we can use that nice, handy dust cover to clip it back there so we're ready to use it next time we need it. This wiring comes in a kit that's going to give us direct plug and play access to the vehicle's existing trailer wiring harness. What's nice about that is you're not going to have to do any cutting or splicing into the vehicle's wiring system, but rather you're just going to be plugging in the connections that are already there, which means that you're not going to risk doing any harm to the vehicle's electrical system. Overall, this kit is nice and easy to install, and it's going to do a really good job of making sure that you can get that power to your trailers so that you don't have to worry about the lights behind you. Today on our 2008 Nissan XTerra, we'll be taking a look at the Tow Ready Vehicle Wiring Harness with 7 Way Trailer Connector, part number 118266. This is what our 7 pull will look like once we have everything installed. To use it, you'll just open the door here, plug in any of your accessories and then head out down the road. To begin our install, the first thing we need to do is locate our vehicle's tow port connectors. They'll be one here on the driver's side and then another one right here. To remove the cap, they'll be a little tab right here that you can push in. It might help to use a flat blade screw driver, helps just wiggle that flat braided screw driver in there. more

Today on our 2012 Nissan Xterra we'll be installing this Tow Ready Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-pole flat connector part number 118525. We're first going to locate the manufacturer's tow port at the back of the vehicle. It'll be a gray plug. The plug also has a weather-proof cap on the end of it that will need to be removed. In order to remove it we'll press on the locking tab of the cap and then remove it. Next we'll take our matching pig tail with the gray connector and plug directly into the manufacturer's tow port. Now we'll route the pig tail to the end of the frame, down the hitch, ultimately we'll secure it to the chain hold down on the hitch. more

The first thing you do is go ahead and get our wiring harness ready. To do that we need to go ahead and install the relays onto these sockets. This kit's in two parts. There's a kit that has to be installed at the front of the vehicle, which is this part here, and then a second part which gets installed at the back of the vehicle. more

Today on our 2009 Nissan Xterra we'll be installing the Tow Ready T-One vehicle wiring harness with relays, part number 118525. First we'll go to the passenger side kick panel. To access the kick panel we'll first remove the floor mat. Next we'll remove the kick panel. To remove the kick panel we'll first need to remove the plastic cap-headed screw. Then we'll go ahead and remove the threshold and set it aside. To remove the threshold we'll get underneath it with a flat blade screwdriver, on in this case a trim panel tool, and pop the fasteners free. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 Nissan Xterra

Today on our 2013 Nissan Xterra, we'll be installing the tow ready T1 Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 pole flat connector. Part number 1182525. To begin our install, we're going to start by installing the threshold and kick panel on the passenger side front row. To remove the threshold, first you use a flat base screwdriver or an interior trim panel tool to get underneath the threshold and release the fasteners underneath. Then we'll go ahead and work the threshold out of the way and set it aside for installation. Next we'll go ahead and repeat the same process with the kick panel. The kick panel has a plastic screw cap and then 2 attachment points underneath. We'll release these attachment points and then remove the plastic screw cap and then remove the kick panel. Now we've accessed the manufacturer's wiring, underneath the kick panel we'll located the white 12 point connector. As you can see here, it's secured to the manufacturer's wiring but we've got just enough room when . take the new jumper harness 12 point connector plugged directly into the manufacturer's 12 point connector. Next we'll go ahead and route the jumper harness. Now we can install out relays. Starting with brown connector and the brown relay, we'll go ahead and match up the pins install and secure it. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2008 Nissan Xterra 118525

Today on our 2008 Nissan Xterra, we'll be installing the tow-ready T-One vehicle wiring harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number 118525. We'll begin by putting the relays into our 12-pin jumper plug. The blue relays are exactly the same and can go in either of the 2 connectors. The third relay, the brown one, will have to go into the brown relay connector. Now that we have all 3 of our relays plugged in, making sure that the locking tab is fully engaged when pushing them together, we're ready to go up here under the passenger's side front door area. We're going to need to remove the threshold here. To do this, we use a trim panel removal tool or a large flat-head screwdriver. We'll need to work it underneath the trim panel to release the tabs that hold it in place. We'll go ahead and set the trim piece out of the way, and then, we'll go up here on the kick panel. more

Today we have a 2011 Nissan Xterra and we will be installing the Tow Ready T-One Connector Part Number 118525. After removing the contents from the package, you will notice you have three relays. These three relays need to be plugged in to the jumper wire also included in the packaging. After plugging the three relays in, we are now ready to move inside the vehicle. Here on the passenger side, we will need to remove the passenger side kick panel. To do this, we will first need to remove the passenger side floor seal by pulling upwards on the floor seal and then out towards the rear of the vehicle. more

Today we are going to be installing wiring harness part number 118244 on a 2004 Nissan Xterra. We are underneath the vehicle. With the spare tire removed we are taking a look at the passengers side frame rail here. You can see right at the top of the frame rail we have got this plug with a cap on it. That is the plug that we are going to need to plug our harness into. I am just going to remove the cap, and I am just going to push the button in on the top here and remove the cap. And then we are just simply going to plug our harness into that and secure any of the extra wires that you may have on the 4-pole, using some zip-ties. And you do want to test all functions to make sure that you are getting power on all active ports. And this will conclude the installation of wiring harness part number 118244 on a 2004 Nissan Xterra. more
